QR Engine is designed with privacy as its foundation. Unlike other QR apps, we believe your data should stay on your device, always.
What We Don't Collect

We don't collect names, emails, phone numbers, or any personal information.
❌ No QR Content
QR codes you scan or generate never leave your device.
❌ No Usage Analytics
We don't track how you use the app or what features you access.
❌ No Location Data
We don't access or store your location information.
How QR Engine Works
📱 100% Local Processing
All QR code scanning and generation happens directly on your iPhone using Apple's native frameworks (AVFoundation for scanning, CoreImage for generation). No internet connection is required or used for these core functions.
🔒 No Cloud Storage
Your QR codes, scan history, and generated content are stored only in your device's local storage. Nothing is uploaded to any servers or cloud services.
🚫 No Third-Party Tracking
QR Engine doesn't include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, or any similar services.
Permissions We Request
📷 Camera Access
Required for QR code scanning. Camera input is processed locally in real-time and never stored or transmitted.
📱 Photos Access (Optional)
Only requested when you choose to save generated QR codes to your Photos library. We don't access existing photos.
👤 Contacts Access (Optional)
Only requested when you choose to create QR codes from contact information or save scanned contact cards to your address book.
About the Developer
QR Engine is developed by Ibrahim Uzun, an individual iOS developer based in Istanbul, Turkey. This is not a corporate product with complex privacy policies and data collection schemes.
As an individual developer, I believe in creating software that respects user privacy and works exactly as advertised. QR Engine reflects my personal commitment to privacy-first software development.

Technical Implementation
🛠️ Native iOS Technologies

🌐 No Network Requirements
QR Engine can function completely offline. The app doesn't make any network requests for its core functionality.
Changes to This Policy
Given that QR Engine doesn't collect any data, there's very little that could change about this privacy policy. However, if significant changes are made to the app that would affect your privacy, this policy will be updated accordingly.
Any updates will be reflected on this page and in the app's App Store listing. The app will never start collecting data without explicit user consent and clear notification.
